CHEEROVA LLC is committed to making cheerova.com usable by as many people as possible, including shoppers who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, and other assistive technology.
Our target standard
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Where we are today
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project. We are actively reviewing and improving our store, with current work focused on:
- Descriptive alternative text on product photography
- Color contrast between text and background throughout the site
- Keyboard navigation through menus, size selection, and checkout
- Clear labels on all forms, including newsletter signup
- Logical heading structure on product and collection pages
We have not yet completed a full independent audit, and some areas of the site may not currently meet our target standard. We address issues as we identify them.
Third-party content
Parts of our store rely on third-party technology, including checkout and payment processing. We do not control the accessibility of those services, although we take accessibility into account when selecting vendors.
