Product Safety & Compliance
Last updated: August 1, 2026
CHEEROVA LLC imports and sells costumes, decorations, and party goods in the United States. This page explains how we approach product safety and what documentation is available to you.
Children’s products
Children’s costumes and accessories may be subject to requirements under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), depending on the product’s intended age, materials, design, and included components. Applicable requirements can include third-party testing by a CPSC-accepted laboratory, a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC), tracking labels, warnings, and other records.
Cheerova evaluates the requirements for each product individually. Not every product requires the same tests or documents. If you are a retailer, distributor, regulator, or customer seeking information about a specific item, email us with the product name, SKU, and batch code when available.
Adult products
Adult costumes and accessories are evaluated under applicable U.S. requirements, including relevant flammability rules and Federal Trade Commission textile-labeling requirements. A General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) applies only when a product is subject to a consumer product safety rule that requires certification; documentation requirements vary by product.
Age guidance and small parts
Age ranges shown on our product pages describe intended fit. Some costumes include accessories that are not suitable for children under 3. Please supervise young children with any costume that includes small pieces, cords, or attachments.
Wearing costumes safely
- Keep costumes away from open flame, candles, and lit jack-o’-lanterns
- Check that masks allow clear vision and unobstructed breathing before wear
- Make sure capes, hems, and trailing pieces do not create a trip hazard
- Consider reflective tape or a light for trick-or-treating after dark
California Proposition 65
California’s Proposition 65 requires businesses to warn California residents about certain significant exposures to listed chemicals. When Cheerova determines that a warning is required for a product, the applicable warning is provided with the product information or packaging. Further information is available at www.p65warnings.ca.gov.
